Tahlia is a GPEP registrar who was born and raised in rural Waikato. She completed her medical degree at the University of Auckland, where she received the 2019 David Clew Top Training Intern Award. After graduating, Tahlia spent several years working mainly in surgical roles across hospitals in the Bay of Plenty and Auckland, gaining a broad range of clinical experience. During this time, she also completed a postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy.
She has since joined the General Practice training programme and is now happily settled on Auckland’s North Shore, where she plans to stay long term. Outside of work, Tahlia enjoys high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and spending time with loved ones.
Her clinical interests include musculoskeletal medicine, skin care, women’s health, and Māori health equity, with a strong focus on providing thoughtful, patient-centred care.
