Andrew grew up in Canterbury. He brings a broad range of clinical experience, having worked across multiple hospital specialties before finding his place in general practice.
Andrew has been based at Wanaka Medical Centre since 2023, where he provided comprehensive care across all aspects of general practice, including urgent and after-hours services. He is PRIME certified in pre-hospital emergency care and has a strong interest in supporting older adults, with experience in both rest home and community settings.
He has a particular passion for cardiometabolic health—including heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and fatty liver—as well as lifestyle medicine and prevention. Andrew has completed additional training in diabetes and lipid management and holds a Certificate in Advanced Diabetes Management along with further education in lipidology and weight management.
Andrew also has experience in urgent care medicine and holds a Certificate in Advanced Dermatoscopy.
He is known for his approachable and thoughtful manner, taking the time to listen and work alongside patients to support their long-term health and wellbeing.
Outside of medicine Andrew enjoys sports, hiking and gardening.
